Black, Gold, and Gatsby.

The moan of a jazz singer, the sparkle of beaded fringe, the thunder of a new age roaring into being. The 20s made way for shorter hem lines, taller buildings, and a new wave of daring fashions. With The Great Gatsby drawing movie goers into a bygone era, its no surprise that the fashions have made their way into the mainstream yet again. With bold, modern interpretations of the fits and cuts of the 20's shown across the globe in runway show after runway show, designers have put a new twist on a classic style. In the Gucci's black and gold dresses, we see the sharp lines and finishes reminiscent of New York deco architecture. Mixing textures seems to be the theme designers have been following in the re-incarnations of the flapper dress. The key is to keep it fun, keep it short, and keep it moving!
